In light of recent events we are trying to discover The things that we fear we've lost throughout the years And now it's finally leaving Escaping the clutches of my hands It's leaving, it's letting go now It's leaving In light of recent events we are trying to discover The things that we fear we've lost throughout the years And now it's finally leaving Escaping the clutches of my hands It's leaving, it's letting go now It's leaving, it's letting go now It's leaving, it's letting go Letting go Letting go Letting go Letting go Letting go Letting go Letting go In light of recent events we are trying to discover The things that we fear we've lost throughout the years And now it's finally leaving Escaping the clutches of my hands It's leaving, it's letting go now It's leaving It's gone

You're not as cool as a kalimba I hate to say it but it's true You're simply not as cool as a kalimba A kalimba is much cooler than you And even though you try and you try You'll never be as cool as the guy Who's head is shaped like a kalimba His head is shaped like a kalimba I'd say that's pretty neat I'm not trying to say you aren't cool But a kalimba can do much more than you They're also pretty cheap on amazon I can buy one right now for 16 bucks And even though it isn't my favorite kind Of an instrument it's cool to show it to the guy At the counter of the the deli As you purchase some fresh jelly To toss it off into the harbor To get a voucher to the barber And if you're wondering why there's no kalimba in this song We left it backstage after a gig And forgot to get it back (I regret it to this day) Even though I had the opportunity To buy one at a shop in D.C I instead bought a harmonium After trading in my euphonium It now lives inside my cranium It built itself a stadium I guess a kalimba really isn't that cool after all But it's still cooler than you

I don’t have hope for many things in my life, but this one I don’t have love for many things in my life, just this one I am an angry and bitter man I’m getting old and can hardly stand But I am hopeful for the Venn diagram It’s the only thing keeping me alive I am hopeful for the Venn diagram Oh how I love the Venn diagram And I hope it lives on through my years Of reaching for the Venn diagram You left a box with your stuff On my front stoop I know you don’t wanna see me so I will just go In the morning you won’t see me Flying out above the town There I go Watch me go For the Venn diagram The only thing left in this empty can Thank you Mr. Dental Plan And I know I will walk down the street And all the people I meet will give me the same old side eye I used to give them They don’t know who I am I don’t know who they are Yet I still tell them about the diagram About the Venn diagram The only thing keeping me afloat It’s the only thing that can save me now The Venn diagram

Tracing parallelograms Within my head I can see what it's like to live inside my head I don't even know who I am anymore "Strike down the bridge" says the man living in my head I am hoping that the world will soon see My house collapsing into your tree And I hope to be one of the people in line Awaiting for your eventual demise Collapsing further into myself I must now proceed through the bank in stealth No one I think is in my tree The bridge has fallen and the man in my head can't swim I have been living within a shoebox I've been distraught and alone and I have no clean socks The wall is the place where I can trace any shape And I'm living within a 2-dimensional plane I am hoping that no one will see The shoebox imploding in its entirety And I hope that there is a lack of line So I can just stay inside

Bus 03:34
I was there, standing before the bus stop And you know we’re here for the show I hope the bus won’t be running too late I’m a busy guy, I’ve got plans to fake This is part of the way We’re all cracked up to be This is part of the way Get out of the way of the bus The bus will run into us Even if we want it to stop The bus wont stop just for us As we all get hit by the bus I was there, lying down besides the sidewalk I had just been hit by a bus I didn’t listen to them Now I’ve broken both my legs I didn’t listen to them I didn’t make way for the bus The bus has drove into us Despite having told it to stop The bus plowed right on through us We flew right up into the sky Even at the end of time There will always be a guy Who will run into us The bus will run into us The bus will run into us The bus will run into us The bus will run into us

about

“Bus” is the penultimate EP in a long line of Luke Hennisch releases occurring in the year 2023. The EP aims at utilizing experimental production techniques, making use of instruments deemed unconventional in pop music. From tracks about kalimbas, to Venn diagrams, to parallelograms, Bus is a hypnotic musical adventure, supplying a healthy mix of wacky pop tunes to feast your ears on.

Bus is a pay what you want kind of deal, but consider purchasing so that I can spend all my money on even more weird instruments that I don't need!
