The window slams shut at about half past six The wind has pushed it down As I'm staring at the ground And I’m aware that I’m not falling back asleep today But the flyers blew away Flying through a smog filled sky And now the clocks are ticking fast Water from a hose Pouring down the road Rest easy my friend There’s an unlit match I left in the corner of the room Picking up the match and Lighting it to walk through the dark And open up the door to the world outside But the water level rose Submerging a patch of grass that had plans to grow tall And now the clocks are ticking fast Birds sit on a wire Chirping the most unpleasant tunes I've heard millions of times before And now the clocks are ticking fast And the clocks are ticking fast

The world that's never leaving my front door Gather your things, we're movin' cross the floor For sometimes I think I'd like to know All the things I buried in the snow The world that's never seething at the door Gather your things, we're moving forward For a thing that was never known, is never shown Within the ground We'll gather round' Someday when we have forged a bond with A world that's never shown This is what I was worried for This is what I was worried about All that's come and gone Through drought and seasonal lows That decimate our crops And it’s the world that's never leaving my front door Gather around, but nevermore we'll gather around Through victory, through sound The door will never know what's on the other side Even though it tries to hide From the world outside

I wanna get away from the madness Of my everyday life Take a trip somewhere far away Take a look around And you will see it A mountainous village located on the western frontier of Alsace  Which at this point coincides with the western frontier of the Alemanish dialect area Look across from the Vosges Mountains and you'll see it A commune of the Bas-Rhin department is all you may think But it's so much more I think I haven't done too much research Take a look around And you will see it The ruined remains of a twelfth-century castle One of the earliest surviving castles in the North Vosges region And of a fourteenth-century smaller fortress Pack your bags Cause we're headed to A mountainous village located on the western frontier of Alsace  Which at this point coincides with the western frontier of the Alemanish dialect area Thanks Wikipedia, I've found my dream home

Dear Dr. Richardson, It's been too long since we have had a chat I'm calling to inform you that the war has gone arwy You must leave your bunker now That you've built deep into the ground And the world it's different now Outside the streets are jammed with debris And we need a hero now It's up to you to build the machine That'll save us all And I'm phoning Dr. Richardson And he doesn't want to talk to me He says he's busy fixing his washing machine And he wishes not to talk to me! Dr. Richardson's a secretive guy He has a tower 12 miles high And I'm sure if he fell from there in the sky he could fly Dr. Richardson will never die He acts like it's nothing But it's something He's the smartest scientist I've ever known I mean I haven't known a lot Yet he tells me he's not a scientist he's just a pediatrician (I'm literally just a pediatrician) Silly doc, always crackin' wise And I'm phoning Dr. Richardson And he seems to have blocked my number He wants me to leave him alone, he’s got business to attend to Dr. Richardson will fly through the sky Dr. Richardson will never die!

There was an expiration date on this bag of chips Look right there it says March 25th Expiration date Expiration date Expiration date What happened when I bit into that old chip? What if I collapse, what if I faint? Why does this chip hold no restraint? As the sodium falls on my tongue Follow the expiration date Expiration date Expiration date Expiration date Wait I was wrong all along It says March 28th That's tomorrow I'm ok! It's still good for another day I won't faint! It's all in your head It's all in your head It's all in your head It's all in your head It's all in your head

You'd never know what it was not like If life could talk to you Someone's on the phone with his wife Who's never talked to you And I can tell that it's hard now As you look in view and then turn around And you're gone Descend into the state of eternal nothingness Descend into the state where all you can see Is the neverending nothingness Someone's walking by Something new fills your eyes Nothing is normal When you don't truly know what's normal at all As you're gone And you're falling down And you descend into the state of feeling overcome By what you'll never know Descend into the state of innocence Descend into the state of Neverending nothingness I wouldn't know any better But I don't know if I want to go back To the state of neverending nothingness at all To the state of neverending nothingness at all See it now

It’s always all the same I wish not to play this game And when you yell at me I feel so deeply angry But I know that when I press this key I won’t have to hear you lecture me And my accordion will drown out the noise It’ll drown out the noise of your voice I always hate our fights You always seem uptight But when I push this bass button And then push a major button And all the things you say are absorbed into the bellows Stop taking my pillow And you didn’t find it funny But it wasn’t meant to make you laugh And now you’ve packed your bags But I don’t really care I can drown out the sad with my accordion And my accordion will drown out the noise It’ll drown out the noise of your voice It'll drown out the Noise through the door frame And shut the door And she's never coming back Nevermore

Lost my trail Chased my tail I thought that when I buried the hatch I wouldn't have to open it back But I don't need a lot of things Even if I think about a lot of instances I wish can fix these instances But words and whales are buried deep below The overflow of the ocean floor And it's colder there, and it's darker there And I wanna live amongst the storm Far from here But I don't need a lot of things Even if I want a lot of things But I just want to see the ground above Get a sense of life, but I Don't have a ground above Don't have a place to stand Slipping from the sliding rock I found Spinning from the mangled boats that drowned If they could speak Maybe we wouldn't have to feel so weak But words and whales are buried deep below The overflow of the ocean floor And it's colder there, and it's darker there And I wanna live amongst the storm Far from here I'm stuck, alone I lost my trail again

Have you had trusted in me Then maybe you would see What I’ve been hiding in my brain Making me feel I’ve gone insane Have you had trusted in me Then maybe you would see This was not part of my plan I had a two-step plan And I threw it out my window I wrote a plan And I stapled it to my head I wanted you to read it I wanted you to see I wanted you to see all the things I’ve keep hidden deep within But I don’t think you need me Even though I need you And had you trusted in me And maybe you would see But I think I’ll go I think it’s easier for me To write the words I want to see me speak And I know it’s early in the process Of the three-step plan Have you had trusted in me Then maybe you would see Have you had trusted in me Have you had trusted in me Have you had trusted in me Have you had trusted in me

I'm Happy 02:10
I found a stone And some pine tree needles In the back of my my new shed And I forged them to light a fire To keep me warm through the night But when I wake up in the night I see that the fire spread and it burnt down my shed But that's ok I'm happy anyway And I'm happy as I'm walking through town (And I'm happy) And I'm even happy as I hear the crackling of flames through the shed (And I'm happy) And I'm happy just to be happy! (And I'm happy) I didn't need it I didn't need a shed anyway I'm happy with my signed picture of some famous guy I never met And I'm happy as my shed's in flames And I'm happy as I stare at my autographed photograph I don't know who's in the picture though, still And I'm happy just to be happy! (I'm happy as a clam) (watch as the fire spreads) And I'm happy just to be happy! (I'm happy as a clam) (through the shed) And I'm happy just to be happy! (I'm happy as a clam) (watch as the fire spreads) And I'm happy (I'm happy as a clam) (through the shed)

There is a number and it's far from me There is a number and it trusts in me To alert you of the unknown degree In the equation that no longer exists within reality There is a number and it's me There is a number and you'll see How the number is existent in the plane of C And maybe when you're staring down at me Maybe you'd think it's easier to read But the number hasn't changed, you've just gone insane There is a number and it's me There is a number and you can't even disagree with me As you survey the room As you see most are done, as you try to speed through And you think it strange to be deranged And you think it's strange to be stuck here with me You feel strange to be The last with a sheet With one question left On this 12-question test With 5 minutes left to go You don't even want to stop to consider The idea that you'll complete this in time You take a look around And then take another look around But I'm still here And there is a number Close to me There is a number buried somewhere deep In your brain But you still feel you've gone deranged But this number can be obtained Maybe not inside reality But within your brain And you see There was a number It was me

Hear it fly, as it's rolling and ringing by, through the sky Hear it cry as its going on its way And it appears I’ve got nothing left to say For it's time it's time For it's time it’s time As we hear the voice come over the loudspeaker And it says "Here it comes" "Here it comes" "Here it comes" And we were fearful at it's flight As it descended into the night And crossed the streets of town Without making a sound The street lights had gone dim As the parade was passing by The bright blue sky that had turned to night As the sirens blared in announcement As they said "Here it comes" "Here it comes" "But there's still some time left to go" "We don't know where we're truly going as of now" As the streets are left in isolation We're all part of the desolation Of some machine that wouldn't answer any of our prayers But was that where we truly got off? What was the purpose of such thing? To ensure a voice was heard? But all it ever truly did Was block out the truth we didn't want to hear But now it's here "Here it comes" "Here it comes" "Here it comes" And that's all we ever wanted (here it comes) And we'll never know what was (here it comes) But let's not dwell on what could've been (here it comes) Now we'll dwell on what's to come (here it comes) "Here it comes" "Here it comes" "Here it comes"

She works late Gets off the bus at 8 Unlocks the apartment door She worked late Looking up to the sky Then right back at her phone to find the hope That you'd be coming home Looking up to the sky "You have been signalling us And you're spiraling through space We've been trying to reach you to tell you what to do" "Can I find myself out there?" "You won't find yourself out there Drifting far from any fear That you might have And we just ask of you to please re-enter the shuttle As you're drifting now As you're drifting now" He was talking to you And you weren't listening Thinking of secret songs you might sing and no one else would hear No one else was near You could return or stay up there But you knew you'd leave the moon You could make one choice And no decision after that would matter And now Earth seems so far from here And it's getting further by the second The lights shrink smaller in the distance As the stars grow closer "And I'm about to sign off Thanks for reading this message In the hopes that it traveled Far enough to reach you As I drift away from here" "I think I'll be fine up here And I know you'll be fine down there As I drift away"

No number meets my expectations There's too many limitations Find the one who excelled, then And play them in a game of chess Over the radio That's where they riped out my soul Displayed it out for them all to see And I'm not very happy We have such little time left The worlds are colliding together But as I sit and ponder It really ain't so bad I will fly away to my planet That I bought sometime in 09' Over the radio That's where they took my brain And they inspected it over a heat ray And they're giving it back in May But it doesn't matter I'll be fine anyway I'm boarding my rocket And I'm traveling through outer space

about

FIIR.004

Alongside his trusty laptop, guitar, accordion, bass, drums and synthesizers, Luke Hennisch miraculously returns with his second studio album! Featuring tunes such as "Neverending Nothingness," "Have You Had Trusted in Me," "I'm Happy" and "There is A Number" that're sure to stick in your head like glue to the point where you have to have them surgically removed from your memory!

It was a ton of fun being able to experiment and test out new things on this record that I haven't really tried too much up until this point. It was a great five months of writing and recording and I personally believe it's paid off. I overall just had such a great time writing and recording this record and I really hope you enjoy! Thanks for listening.
